We are a small kennel situated on 5 acres in the beautiful Upper Hunter Valley, NSW, Australia. We are surrounded by exquisite wineries and highly respected horse studs. Our names are Craig and Jayne Schmarr and we are members of and registered breeders with DOGS NSW. We are also members of the Siberian Husky Clubs of NSW & Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club of NSW. We abide by these club's Code of Ethics whole-heartedly and support the clubs in their promotion of a healthy, sound breed.
Our Siberians & Cavaliers are precious family members and are included in all aspects of our life. They are raised in a loving, caring, protective family home where they are provided with many opportunities to explore the world around them thus becoming confident, well socialised and happy Siberians & Cavaliers.We allow all our Siberians to run together on our small property behind secure fencing. Our Cavaliers have their very own special play area where they frolick together. |
We have been involved in showing dogs since 1988 and specifically Siberian Huskies since December, 1995 when we became the proud owners of a delightful black and white puppy who we named "Holley". We successfully showed Holley throughout NSW towards her Australian Champion title awarded in 1997. Holley went everywhere with us and it wasn't long before we decided to purchase another Siberian. In 1997 along came a cuddly, smoochy grey and white puppy whom we named Greta. We now love, adore and live with twelve Siberians, ten of which we have bred under our prefix BAYKALSKEE. Our love for the breed has just grown and grown. We both juggle hectic work schedules to ensure our Siberians have the most devoted 'parents'. We have continued to enjoy travelling around NSW exhibiting our Siberians, making new friends, catching up with old ones, spending time with our girls and boys and revelling in the simple pleasures of life like love & good health. |

Our Siberians are bred on a very limited basis ensuring QUALITY not quantity. We aim to produce Siberian Huskies that are free of genetic problems, display correct conformation and sound structure, excellent movement, have good temperaments, excellent health and are true to standard. All BAYKALSKEE Siberians are hip scored and eye tested ensuring only the healthiest Siberians are bred from and produced. All our puppies are registered, microchipped, wormed and vaccinated. Our breeding is based upon successful lines from Canada and the USA. We are endeavoring to improve our breed, constantly trying to create better, sounder Siberians and therefore produce QUALITY Siberians. Our devotion and dedication to Siberian Huskies is as strong as those who have been involved with the breed longer than us. After all, it is the QUALITY of time spent, not quantity of time, that reflects dedication and devotion. |
